A bit of information about us
Invasion Media was formed in November 2008 with two very clear goals:
1: Spread knowledge about the importance of Accessibility and Standards compliance and help the World Wide Web become a better place.
2: Provide clients with a website which meets the above ideals within a price range they can afford.
We had the idea to allow users to subscribe to a set of business services from us and get the website included as a part of this package. This would esentially mean that customers could now get a website worth thousands of pounds without having to pay an up-front cost as well as recieving a list of other benefits at no extra cost.
In order to ensure that we could offer the level of service and features which are available today, we set out to develop the SOCKET website administration program, it is a system of tools which are all put together in an easy-to-use format. The initial set of tools which come with SOCKET are enough for most customers, other tools (known as modules) can be added to the SOCKET application for an additional monthly cost.
Eventually in January 2009 Invasion Media finally launched its services to the public, initial uptake was way beyond anything we previously imagined and we gained three clients within the first month, this was before we had even started to properly market ourselves!
